Google Alerts: Here’s a way to keep track of subjects that matter to your business. Google Alerts lets you select a subject that matters to you and then news relating to that subject will be delivered to your email inbox. Best uses: monitor news about yourself and your business, keep current on a competitor in your industry and stay on top of industry news. I use this service selectively because I don’t want my inbox cluttered with lots of extraneous stuff. But it’s great for keeping track of mentions of my company and competitor intelligence.


Google Analytics: Google Analytics not only lets you measure sales and conversions, but also gives you fresh insights into how visitors use your site, how they arrived on your site, and how you can keep them coming back. Analytics is a must for anyone with a website or blog.


Google Drive: Google has provided a really neat way to share, edit and review docs. You can create and upload documents, spreadsheets and presentations and then give permission to others to view or edit. I use Google Drive for group presentations and find it’s really great.
