Live your Purpose

There are a raft of self-help books and resources. I direct you to your friendly local bookstore (or search engine) to find them -- we seek answers to everything from from "how to live my best life" to "how to improve my situation." In fact, the search term "how to be a successful woman" is one of the common search terms to the website.

In my experience it all boils down to one thing: you are here to live your purpose.

Everything that makes you unique, which is everything about you, from the inside out: your likes, your dislikes, your perspective, your experiences, your early childhood, your adolescence and young adulthood, your desires, your beliefs, your values, your spiritual quest, your personal development, your professional abilities, your skillset --- everything about your unique existence is a gift to the world, and the only thing you are here to do is to live your life to the best of your abilities.

What are you here to do?

What purpose were you born to fulfill?

A good way to find your unique life purpose is to consider what makes you "tick" --

  • What drives you?
  • What makes you happy?
  • Which activities make you feel fulfilled?
  • What actions make time fly for you?

And then match these against what your community, your country, your state, or your neighborhood needs --

  • Where do you really think you best fit?
  • Where do you believe your skills make the biggest difference?
  • In what kind of location or industry do you think you're meant to be?
  • Where do you want to help?

As you do the soul-searching, you'll find that you feel more fulfilled in your life and less "swayed" by insecurity or daily anxiety. We are all here together on the planet Earth. Our time is precious (that's why it's called "the present"). Whatever it is we are meant to fulfill, we are doing right here, right now.

One way to figure out if you've completed your life purpose is to check to see if you're still alive. If you're still alive, you still have work to do! If you're reading this and you're looking for your life purpose --- it's still there, inside you --- the song to sing, the poem to compose, the sculpture to mold, the painting to make, the project to organize, the book to write, the people to connect, the building to design, the day to create, the _________ you feel so strongly about. Or the _________ you desire to ____________ .

Each day is a gift, and the biggest gift of all is your life. Live each day as best as you can, fulfill your life purpose one step at a time, and share your knowledge! Report back to all of us, so we learn from your journey.
