Shed Your Financial Fears: How Your Beliefs About Money May Be Holding You Back

Money Tree, by origami_potato

Did you inherit your parents' financial fears?

For instance, if one or both of your parents constantly complained about money and worried that they would not have enough, you may have developed a belief system that money is scarce and hard to come by. Therefore, you may hang on tight to your money, rarely take risks and stay in the mode of struggling and surviving.

When fears and anxieties wreak havoc, it's generally the 'fear of the unknown' that is the culprit. We often create scenarios in our minds that are so far fetched from reality, like "What if I lose all of my money," that we put ourselves through the misery of worrying for nothing.

Getting Over your Self-Doubt

Hevajra Mandala, by Wonderlane

One of the things that separates a successful person from a less-than-successful person is their approach to failure, despair, denial, obstacles, challenges, and issues.

With those kinds of things in the way, many people give up... Perhaps 1 in 10 people will realize that each and every failure is actually a learning lesson in disguise, and that one individual will continue moving forward, making a new way or clearing a new path if there wasn't one already.

A successful person consistently moves forward.

A successful person learns from each and every opportunity - even failures!

Everything Starts with a Vision

STS-133 Launch

Everything begins with a vision.

The tools you use in your everyday life, the computer program you use to access the Internet, the food that you choose in the grocery store, the products you use in your medicine cabinet, the kitchen appliances, the vehicles you use for transportation, the bag you use to carry items from one place to another, even the music, films, or live performances that entertain you --- these all originated out of someone's vision.

Think for Yourself

Today I'd like to post a tribute to Tilman Hausherr, who is a computer programmer who created a program called Xenu's Link Smith (TM) that helps web page developers check for broken links.

I first came across this program in 1999, when I was learning web development and needed a way to check which items were changed between an old version of a web site and a new version of the same website. In doing more research on the program and the creator, I learned about "Operation Clambake" which is the programmer's way to contribute to knowledge and awareness of Scientology.

If you'd like to learn more about this effort, you can visit: http://xenu.net/
