Thank you for visiting A Successful Woman. I started this site in 2006 as a way for each of us to connect, empower, and educate one another. I truly believe that all of us working with each other will improve each of our individual lives and those of our families and communities around us. I look forward to supporting you in your journey towards increased success.
 

Biography

Author, advocate, and changemaker Monica S. Flores is principal at 10K Webdesign, where she is passionate about educating, empowering, and connecting multicultural women. Her current focus is creating websites that build community and foster a feeling of connectedness. 

10K Webdesign has been in business since 2004 and supports women entrepreneurs, progressive organizations, and fair trade, organic, holistic, sustainable, and green businesses.

Flores contributes regular articles to Women on Business and The Green Girls. She has worked for over fifteen years to create infrastructure, tools, connections, and support for communities.

Highlights include:

• Founder of Green Business Women, a membership directory of green, woman-owned businesses
• Editor of the "A Successful Woman's Handbook" series of guidebooks for success-oriented women
• Founding board member and interim executive director for APA for Progress, the first internet-based Asian Pacific American advocacy group
• Founding team member for The Odyssey World Trek for Service and Education, one of the first global multimedia educational websites, visiting 30+ countries to support youth

An active social networker, Flores offers regular talks on the World Wide Web and community-building.

Flores lives with her family in Hawaii and California -- find her online as "monicadear".
