Be a Mentor/Find a Mentor

Through the A Successful Woman community we've had requests to find or to be a mentor. If you are interested in participating as a volunteer mentor, or if you are interested in participating and finding a mentor, please use our contact form below. We will offer a list of potential mentors on this page and will contact you to make introductions.

Sample Mentor Responsibilities:

1) Being a mentor requires being available: schedule a regular checkin (quarterly, monthly, weekly).
2) Hold yourself accountable to goals or action plans discussed. Posting them in a public place (Facebook group) is a good way to get started.
3) Share your advice, stories, or insights.
4) Share connections: many introductions may be made to help smooth the way for a younger woman or one who's just starting out.
5) Be present. A mentor does not need to act as coach, teacher, or cheerleaders, although many do. Many mentors simply need to listen, be available, and use their experience to assess the situation.
