Celebrating Change
As fall begins to take shape along with my ever-increasing pregnant belly, I am reminded of how fortunate we are in our lives to be able to constantly move and change just as everything in nature does.
There is no struggle for summer to slowly fade away as fall takes its place. Seasons seem to gracefully embrace change, just as children do. In fact, children grow and change at such a fast rate that it is often hard for adults to keep up! Why do we adults sometimes dread change, resist it, fight against it? It’s that nasty four-letter f-word, FEAR!
I envision a life where we all celebrate and embrace life’s changes.
Sure, there is an occasional winter blizzard that snows us in for a few days, but we then are able to reconnect with our families around a fireplace, playing games or enjoying music together. The snowstorm, although unplanned, was nature’s gift for us to slow down and reconnect with loved ones.
What changes are you resisting in your own life? What fears about your future are you secretly harboring? Is your resistance and fear bringing you joy or stress? I invite you to embrace and celebrate a snowstorm, earthquake or flood in your life. This simple shift in orientation allows us to live in the silver lining of our lives.
Please share your experiences with us as you embark upon a new season in your life with joy!
