As physical creatures, we are able to experience our world through a combination of taste, touch, sight, smell, and hearing.
Use it!
+ Enjoy a delectable snack or a lovely warm cup of tea: enjoy the flavor combinations on your palate.
+ Feel something that brings you joy: a luxury cashmere throw, a smooth round stone, or your child’s hair: your fingers, toes, and even your skin gives you a way to touch the world around you.
+ Observe beautiful art or nature and give thanks for what you can see.
+ Inhale a delightful aroma and appreciate how much your nose knows.
+ Listen carefully to the world around you: do you hear some great tunes, a windchime or spray from a bubbling fountain? If not, consider creating a more harmonious environment through aural pleasures.
As you use your senses to fully appreciate the world around you, practice gratitude, kindness, and sensitivity to your body and your place in the universe.
