Hello ladies, I’m your author for this blog and I wanted to give you an introduction to who I am and what I’m all about.
I am passionate about educating, empowering, and connecting women of color, particularly women using business development as a vehicle for personal and professional growth. My wish is for the A Successful Woman website to serve as your trusted tool and cheerleader on your path towards your success.
Along the way, I’ll make sure to highlight your journey with how-to articles, news and events, business resources, memorable quotes, book reviews, and members-only content, sponsored reviews, and my hand-picked list of wonderful things.
My company 10K Webdesign specializes in marketing and branding for companies and membership organizations, and our current focus is on supporting women entrepreneurs as well as fair trade, organic, holistic, sustainable, and green businesses.
I am a Filipina-American businesswoman based in Hawai’i and California. Since graduating from Cornell University in 1994, I’ve been involved in a variety of industries, primarily focusing on technology, education, healthcare, and strategic consulting. My most interesting job was developing braille music software, and I’ve also been a community health worker, an environmental educator, a mentor to high school students, and an educational content developer in over 30 countries. This blog is a part of my personal and professional desire to give back to all who have helped me succeed.
