Why Share? Reasons why Giving is Good
On your website, share your knowledge as a way to gain trust, referrals, and buy-in from your customers. Here are three reasons to share your knowledge online:
When you give away your knowledge, you demonstrate that you stand in a position of strength. For example, documenting a “how-to” article or offering a checklist of what to expect with your process positions you as an expert who is honest, forthright and trustworthy. You have everything to gain when you share your mastery of your field.
When you give away your knowledge, you receive much more in return. Reciprocation is a well-known facet of our human nature: when you give away, you receive back. When you share resource articles and insider information about your industry, you benefit from new and expanded opportunities from current and new customers. You attract interest from potential partners and supporters who benefit from associating with you. You also provide information that benefits your entire field.
When you give away your knowledge, you build your reputation, which converts to trust in your integrity. There is no substitute for this kind of social capital.
Find a way to share your knowledge online. It will build your business and your personal reputation.

Thanks Latarsha, I do think that the more value you give others, the more you are rewarded. A post on that is coming soon!
