PayperPost.com: Using your Blog to Market New Products Effectively
I’ve signed up for a new service doing blog reviews through PayPerPost.com. Using this service, readers will periodically see reviews of products and services that I think are helpful or worthwhile to success-oriented women.
The service requires you to have your own blog (I use Wordpress installed on my own hosting). There’s an initial signup period where the editors review your blog for clarity and to make sure it’s not too commercially-minded (meaning most of the posts have actual helpful content).
While I was setting up my account, my interactions with “Customer Love,” the customer service center, were smooth and prompt: they answered every question and reviewed my blog multiple times to make sure it fit their guidelines.
Opportunities to post have a dollar amount assigned to them (specified by the advertiser): you simply choose an item that interests you or “fits” the general tone of your blog, then you reserve that opportunity.
If your blog has a high Page Rank, as determined by Google, you may command a higher price for your postings. If you are already blogging at your own website, or you are planning on setting up a blog as part of your marketing efforts for 2008, consider using the PayperPost.com service as a revenue stream.
The site offers an easy-to-use grid interface that shows you different types of project ideas, and you may specify your payment to go to your Paypal account or directly to charity. For this blog, I’m looking forward to donating 10% of net profits of income the blog generates to support 0% interest micro-finance loans to women entrepreneurs around the world.
If you’re interested in becoming an advertiser and using the blogosphere to create “buzz” for your company, consider visiting PayPerPost and signing up as an advertiser.
Finally, if you’re interested in building up your business, starting up a website presence, or in blogging for fun and profit, I’ve highlighted some lessons in the “Business Builder: Shop Talk” series: read through those items for even more information on how to create a valuable, authoritative blog on the subjects you love.
