Idea #3: Google Adsense to Generate Revenue Online
Google Adsense is an easy way to serve ads on your website and receive a very small amount per click-through. If you already have a website or blog and you’re looking for some additional revenue, use this free service by signing up, specifying the type of ads you want (links, images, sizes, colors), then using the provided code to copy and paste into your sidebar, top bar, or footer.
The ads appear on your site based on the content that’s already existing on your site, so if you primarily talk about women in business (like I do on this site), you’ll see ads targeting that market.
You may specify if you do NOT want ads from a particular provider.
Each ad is weighted as a certain amount, like 10 cents per clickthrough or $1 per clickthrough. A certain amount of people will click on your site, for example, one out of every 100 unique visitors, so do the math and figure out how to increase your site visibility to increase the amount you receive from Adsense.
You may place up to 3 Adsense units on each page. The ads are geotargeted (so if there are no relevant ads, you’ll may specify if viewers will see a public service ad, a blank space, or your own ad).
