Learning how to Partner with Others: 5 Tips to Remember

hands-thumb.jpg

Do you offer something that someone else may need?

Does someone else offer a service or product that you need?

Consider becoming partners!

When you're building a business, it's important to work with people you trust and like.

You'll want to decide if you want to contract out work (by hiring an individual or firm) or identifying partners who agree to work with you in exchange for equity in your endeavor. You could offer something like a 1%, 10%, 40% share (or more) in your company depending on what your potential partner brings to the table.

Five Ways to Mentor the Women in your Life

Mentoring is a great way to share your gifts and talents with others who benefit from your own experience. When you've faced challenges along the way, you have an opportunity to learn from others who have overcome similar obstacles. As you gain more experience, it's time for you to give back and share your knowledge with the next generation. Here are five ways to be a mentor to a young woman in your life:

Take your mentee to a networking function, conference, charity event, or social gathering. Help her meet others!

2) Schedule ongoing checkins.

Every day let's find something to celebrate in our own bodies and in our lives. One thing that I've found in my monthly cycle is I need to be aware of when I need extra care and stress reduction: while I don't like to think I'm at the mercy of my hormones, at certain points I definitely can feel the effects of being a woman of childbearing age.

Lessons in Success: #30 Celebrate

Let's celebrate!

Nell Merlino, founder of the Make Mine a $Million project, always encourages women to celebrate our successes, and she encourages us to truly celebrate, to truly mark a passage of time, and to do so before other things come in like paying the bills, taking care of business, minding the children, and letting a special moment pass.

We deserve to celebrate: we deserve to be thankful and to be thoughtful and to honor our lives.

So let's celebrate today.

Plan a celebration to toast your achievements and those of others, to express gratitude and appreciation for your relationships at home and at work, and to be joyful in life.

Things to celebrate include:
