Successful woman always know to set high goals, to celebrate all their achievements, and to stretch towards those goals every day.

When I say stretch every day, I mean literally and physically stretch yourself, and also emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually stretch yourself.

When you start the day off by stretching out, your muscles get warmed up and you remain flexible and limber. Your body gets stronger and more vibrant as you stretch and shake off sleep. Stretch out in bed, and then move to the floor or to a mat or cloth you’ve set out. Incorporate 15 minutes of stretching into your day and you’ll immediately feel better (and your posture will improve).

My partner and I started our web design company with two Mac laptops, a burning drive and passion for connecting people to the Web, and our personal address books.

We were determined to focus on our core skills, which were converting ideas, needs, and processes into fully-functioning websites.

We wanted to support minority-owned, woman-owned, green, progressive, organic, holistic, sustainable people.

We wanted to focus on what we did best, and find other people to help us with the rest. As the company has grown, we've learned more. Here are some of the lessons I've learned --- you can keep them in mind as you build your own business.

No one ever achieved greatness by staying comfortable. We all have a comfort zone we love being in. It's nice and safe and we reign supreme. The only problem with it is that to grow and learn and achieve our potential and all that we can become, we have to step outside that comfort zone and push ourselves.
